Hi, Iβm Rachael!
Iβm a wife, a mom of four, and a birth doula with a deep passion for supporting families through one of lifeβs most transformative experiences. I believe that birth is not a medical event but a physiological process, one that works best when itβs trusted rather than managed. My approach is grounded in faith, knowing that birth is part of Godβs perfect design, and that with the right support, it can be a powerful and transformative experience for both mother and father.
My love for birth began during my first pregnancy when I wanted to learn everything I could about labor and birth. I went on to have four unmedicated birthsβthree in the hospital and one at homeβeach of them shaping my passion for this work. While my hospital births were positive, it was my home birth that truly opened my eyes to how peaceful and empowering birth can be when fully supported in a calm environment.
Birth is not meant to be done alone.
For generations, birth was not something a woman walked through by herselfβit was surrounded by a community of support. Mothers, sisters, grandmothers, and friends gathered around, offering wisdom, comfort, and strength. Today, weβve lost that tradition, and birth has become something women often navigate with minimal support. But it doesnβt have to be that way.
I donβt look at my work as a transactionβI see it as a relationship. I am truly honored to be invited into your birth space, and I take that responsibility seriously. My role is to be the person you needβto support you in the way birth was meant to be supported.
So, whatβs it like to have me as your doula?
Physiological birth is a fierce and intimate time, one that requires strength, trust, and the right people by your side. When you imagine your birth, what comes to mind?
I bring a steady, calming presence and practical support throughout your birth. I provide hands-on comfort, encouragement, and guidance so you can focus on the incredible work youβre doing. I believe that when a woman feels safe, heard, and supported, birth works.
I also love working with couples who want to feel prepared and supported together. I know from experience how much husbands want to be involved, but they often find themselves balancing caring for their wives while also managing all the little details of birth at home. Thatβs where I step in. I take care of the things that could pull him away so that you both feel present, connected, and fully supported throughout labor and birth.
